Chemical Manufacturing ERP extends Odoo Inventory and MRP for batch chemical plants. Stock moves, lots, manufacturing orders, scrap, and by-products stay native. The suite adds chemical masters, lot disposition, genealogy, chem.batch, formula revisions, specifications, and batch release.
Inventory. Products carry chemical type, CAS/UN, hazard and storage class, density, shelf life, and retest interval. Each lot has a quality status (draft, under test, quarantined, released, rejected, blocked, expired, retest due) that is not the same as its location. Status changes are logged. Optional settings can block consume or delivery of expired, retest-due, or rejected lots, and can move stock to a quarantine location. Genealogy links lots across consume, produce, split, blend, rework, and repack so you can walk a finished lot back to raw lots. Density conversion is an explicit helper with recorded density and temperature; it does not rewrite global units of measure.
Manufacturing. Formulas use immutable approved revisions. Starting a batch stores a formula snapshot. The batch links to one or more manufacturing orders. You can record process parameters (for example temperature or pH) on the run, use rework, repack, or blend batch types, and read a batch cost sheet from native MO costing. Yield uses produced quantity versus planned quantity.
Quality. Specifications, test methods, samples, and checks feed batch release. Release officers can release, conditionally release, or reject. The Certificate of Analysis is printed from values frozen at release. SDS and other compliance files have a revision lifecycle and a review reminder. Deviations can close failed process results before release.
Each app has an OWL Control Tower with queues you can open (expired lots, open batches, pending release). Settings switches turn genealogy, segregation, density conversion, and release gates on or off.
