Microfinance Management helps microfinance institutions run the loan book in Odoo: clients, groups, applications, disbursement, repayments, field collections, and risk. It is not a retail bank core. The loan book stays on dedicated loan and schedule records. You can optionally post disbursements and repayments to Accounting journals from settings.
People and groups. Organize branches, centers, and loan officers. Keep clients on Contacts with occupation, income, and ID documents (such as Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID, national ID, or passport). Track KYC status, document expiry, and verification. You can block new applications until KYC is complete. Support JLG and SHG groups, peer members, meeting attendance, and minimum group size before activation.
Loans and collections. Define products for individual, group, or JLG lending with flat or declining interest and weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly installments. Applications move from draft through review to approve or reject. After approval, disburse (optional location on disbursement), generate the schedule, and collect against due installments by cash, bank, or UPI, including bulk collection. Optional savings accounts, collateral, and guarantors are available.
Risk, portals, and reports. See days past due, ageing, and PAR-style portfolio risk with alerts and write-off or restructure tools. Field officers use a portal for due installments, collections, and proof images. Borrowers can view their own loans and balances when that portal is enabled. The Control Tower summarizes outstanding, disbursements, collections, and risk. MIS and operational PDFs cover ageing, registers, schedules, sanction letters, loan cards, collection sheets, and related reports. Works on Community and Enterprise. There is no credit-bureau or government ID API in this module, and field use is through the browser portal rather than a separate native mobile app.
